Job description:
- The objective of this role is to carry out plan approval of the structural aspects of a variety of Lifting Appliance and Materials Handling equipment. Such items include ships’ cranes, LSA davits, elevators, heavy lift cranes, industrial and dockside cranes, piping lying and other equipment of a novel design.
- Plan approval of Lifting Appliances in accordance with code for relevant national or international standards, codes or regulations using direct calculation methods
- To provide an advisory service to clients and surveyors for lifting appliance certification
- To liaise directly with clients and CFOs on lifting appliance matters
- To prepare all types of technical reports and correspondence
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in majors of structural engineering, mechanical engineering, naval architecture or equivalency
- Above 5 years relevant working experience in relevant industries
- Good command of written and oral English
- Good interpersonal skills etc
